Galleries Of Justice Nottingham Overnight Ghost Hunt

Galleries Of Justice Nottingham Overnight Ghost Hunt – Saturday 22nd January 2011

The Galleries of Justice in Nottingham which has recently been voted as having the most Poltergeist activity in the UK is a foreboding location and not one for the faint hearted you have been warned!

Once a courthouse and jail The Galleries of Justice has made its mark as a terrible place where Men Women and Children were punished for crime’s that by todays standards would be little thought of. Many a poor soul lost their lives here at this very Building by  terrible execution from the hang mans noose,so it should come as no surprise that this location is steeped in emotion and history full to the brim.

There is a vast amount of Ghostly phenomena here. This building is so haunted that the Galleries of justice’s Cleaning Staff will only work in pairs and never alone as in the reception area alone three Ghosts have been witnessed one being a soldier, a Victorian Gent and an old lady.
The Criminal Court Room here has a plethera of activity such as Spirit lights and shadows which have been seen regularly and knockings and raps are often heard in response to questions asked.

Down in the depths of The Galleries of Justice are the very haunted Pits, an area even the Galleries of Justice’s own day time Staff won’t go to!
Underneath the building lurk the pitch black eerie underground Caves where discarnate voices, moans and breathing sounds and lights are often seen and heard. Dark shadows and Poltergeist activity happens here often with small stones thrown and people have been known to be touched by a presence in the darkness.

This is a fantastic location and one that should not  be missed join Dusk Till Dawn Events for an entire nights investigation.
You will have full use of ghost hunting equipment during the Event and take part in Vigils and Psychic Experiments.

Ghost Hunt Supper at Dudley Castle Friday 17th September 2010

GHOST HUNTERS REPORT…..

DUSK TILL DAWN EVENTS AT DUDLEY CASTLE Friday 17TH SEPTEMBER 2010
SUPPER EVENT

MEDIUMS : SUE AND MICHAEL TREANOR

HOST : SUE TREANOR

The guests arrived at about 7pm and were guided up to the Queen Mary Suite, one of the Castle’s restaurants.

After their meal Michael and I did a mediumship demonstration for them, in which they were given personal messages. I read their auras and Michael did a psychometry demo (which means reading the energy from personal belongings).

After they had a ghost walk with the Castle’s caretaker for the evening, Alex, they had about half an hour to explore the castle for themselves and use some of the ghost hunting equipment provided by Dusk Till Dawn.

Then we got on to the real meat of the evening! The vigils !

I took the chequered room, Michael took the Zodiac room (both rooms in the Museum) as we had done a recci beforehand and decided these were the most active areas – and boy were we right!

In the Zodiac room, I had the guests form a circle and did a simple exercise to get the energy flowing. Then we started “calling out” – asking spirit to interact with us and maybe touch someone or show themselves. We didn’t have to wait long for the action to start!

Many people saw (or felt) the shadowy figure of a hooded man moving around the outside of the circle. The man to my left looked like he had a white, pointy beard – similar to those worn in the tudor period.  Then, in the passageway which lead out of the room, some of us saw a bright light – like a torch being switched on and then off again. This phenomena happened again a little later, but this time the light was not quite so bright – maybe the energy had been used up with the brightness of the previous light! In the centre of the circle, once again several people (including Andy, the sceptic in the group!) thought they saw a white, milky energy moving around in small circles, and twinkling lights also moving in the same direction.

In the Zodiac room, a monk was seen and a lady felt like she was being pushed down to her knees in front of him. Several people also felt the presence of an executioner-type figure and actually saw a black energy in front of their face – as if an axe was falling in front of them.

The final vigil took place in the undercroft of the castle, where we all definitely heard the voices of women and men outside and footsteps on the gravel – even though we were the only people in the castle and we were all in one room!

A couple of times during the night, people screamed in fear and we all felt our heartbeats racing away for a few moments!

I must point out that all these phenomena were investigated at the time, every hypothesis we could think of was examined, and we could not explain anything that I have mentioned in this blog – other than it may have been paranormal.

If you fancy doing an overnight investigation or a ghost hunt supper with Dusk till Dawn events, please log on to www.dusktilldawnevents.co.uk – the spirits will be waiting for you………….

Bolling Hall Bradford Overnight Ghost Hunt – Saturday 17th October 2009

bolling-_hallBolling Hall is one of Bradford’s oldest buildings, and has reference to the manor of Bolling in the Doomsday Book which was compiled in 1086

Situated just a mile from Bradford city centre and surrounded by gardens, Bolling Hall was for many years home to two important land-owning families.

Parts of this wonderful building actually date from medieval times, which are packed full to the brim with history so it comes as no surprise that paranormal activity happens on a regular basis here and has had as many as 20 reported sightings of ghostly apparitions from visitors and staff alike!

For over five hundred years Bolling Hall has been home to many Bradford families such as Tempest,Lindley and Wood. During the Civil War the household supported the Royalist cause, and the house provided a stronghold during the ‘siege of Bradford’.

The Hall Itself was then presented to the City of Bradford in 1912 after falling into disrepair and was then passed onto the City to be opened as a period house and museum.

Bolling Hall is well known for being the most haunted building in Bradford with its first Ghost sighted way back in December 1642 by the Earl of Newcastle; who was awakened by feeling of his bedclothes being pulled off him!

This location has even been visited by the Most Haunted Team who found the building to be very paranormally active on their investigation capturing on film a Childs Crib rocking backwards and forwards all by its self!

There are many fantastic rooms and eerie nooks and crannies to investigate in this very haunted building such as the Blue Room which Staff whilst at work at the Hall sense feelings of unease as if being watched by someone or something and a Gent wearing a long black coat has been seen in this area also.

A sighting of a Lady dressed all in White has been reported in the 1940’s, she was described by wittnesess as floating in mid air across the room and disappearing into the fireplace!

Heard regularly at this location are loud footsteps along With Ghostly voices and heavy breathing within the darkness not to mention heavy doors opening and banging shut in response to questions asked by an unseen presence as you can see this really is an event not to be missed!

The Falstaffs Experience Stratford Upon Avon Ghost Hunt Friday 5th June 2009

The Shrieves House and Barn said to be the second most haunted building in Britain is now well known as The Falstaff’s Experience and is situated in the heart of Stratford.

the_falstaff_experienceThis very haunted building said to be built upon some 5 lay lines dates back to the 16th Century (although a dwelling has stood on this spot since 1196) and itsfirst known tenant was William Shrieve in 1536 who was an archer to King Henry VIII. The house is still called ‘The Shrieve’s House’, and it could therefore be reasonably assumed he was an important figure in his day and may possibly have been a Sheriff of some sort, as his name suggests.

With almost 1000 years of history in which it has born witness to plague, war, witchcraft and, some say, murder. Perhaps it would be more surprising if it were not haunted.

There have been several fires in the property, the most destructive of which occurred in 1595, after which the property would have been extensively rebuilt. The 1595 cobblestones are therefore the oldest surviving in Stratford-Upon-Avon and on which William Shakespeare himself would have walked on his way to the Three Tunns Tavern.

In the 16th century the property was a tavern and the tavern keeper, William Rogers, is said to have been some of the inspiration for Shakespeare’s famous comic character Falstaff who appears in two of his plays. At this time the property would have consisted of not only the house but outhouses, a stable and a blacksmiths.

Also during this period a small cottage was attached to the end of the barn in what was referred to as ‘the witch of Sheep Street’s cottage’ and is now the known as the witch’s courtyard. The local coven still reveres this area and practices their ancient ceremonies here, particularly at Halloween.

The spirits and ghosts who haunt this location

There are a number of ‘dominant’ spirits said to be active in the property: an archer from the time of Henry VIII; a serial murderer from the 18th century; a little girl who was a pickpocket in the tavern; a Catholic gentleman from the time of the reformation and a justice of the peace who used his power to run an extortion ring with threats, violence and trumped up charges. There are also sightings of the parliamentary soldiers (although it is more common to experience their injuries); the victims of the serial murderer; children and animals. During certain times of year a dark hooded figure with red glowing eyes, who is said to be a very ancient spirit, stands back and watches.

With cobbled court yards, hidden Priest Holes and Secret Chambers this Location is steeped in history and not one for the faint hearted……..

“Many people have lived and died in The Shrieve’s House since the house was built in the mid-1250s. But for some reason, the people who died there seem to hang around as ghosts. If you want to see/feel/smell a ghost then go there because it is probably the most haunted house in England” (Terry Deary, author)

The Hack green Secret Nuclear Bunker which was visited by the Team of Most Haunted is a former Government owned Nuclear Bunker located at Hack green in Cheshire which helped to see Cheshire through World War 11 and into the Cold War Period.

After the war, the camp was converted into a partially underground bunker protecting a long-range radar installation, part of the ROTOR network. Between 1958 and 1966, Hack Green served as a joint civil and military air traffic control site.

In 1976–84, the abandoned RAF site was converted into a nuclear bunker complex, which was the Home Defence regional headquarters for a large area of the North West until 1993.
