Throughout its dark and foreboding history, the Castle has served time as a royal residence, a centre of justice and as the county Gaol, hidden from public view behind an impenetrable five metre high stone wall until its closure in 1996.

There have been many reports of paranormal activity at the Oxford Castle site including:

* The Murderer Mary Blandy was tried and hanged at Oxford in 1752, her ghost has been see a number of times walking the Castle Mound
* In the 1970s a group of inmates held a seance in one of the cells sparking poltergeist activity, in the end of priest was called to conduct an exorcism
* A strange white mist has been witnessed rising up a flight of stairs, two prison guards watched in horror as it faded in front of their eyes.
* In the past the Castle has been used as a film set including for the film “The Italian Job”. More recently during filming, a group of film extras heard unidentifiable shouts and screams echoing around the main buildings. On at least two occasions there has been unexplained physical damage to various items stored at the prison.
* Security guards have long been uneasy doing the rounds at night and the most terrifying apparition was spotted by one guard and his dog on a nightly patrol. The dog stopped and growled while its master saw two black figures in front of him, days later the dog died of fright!

Alton Towers Staffordshire Ghost Hunt Saturday 4th July 2009

Alton Towers is probably the most well known Tourist Attraction in the UK.

Alton TowersSet amidst beautiful Gardens in Staffordshire many people visit this famous Theme Park year after year not knowing that there lurks a dark and chilling Gothic Mansion amongst the thrilling rides. The very haunted Alton Towers Ruin, a place which has a very dark and mysterious history.

The early Alton Towers was a hunting lodge, known as Alveton Lodge (or Alverton), which is the ancient name for Alton.

Charles Talbot, the 15th Earl and his family, began improvements on the house, and initiated the creation of the Gardens, at the turn of the 19th century. Through the early 1800s, 13,000 trees were planted in the grounds. In 1811, major work began on the house. Over the next ten years, several new rooms were built: a drawing room, dining room, chapel, library, long gallery, banqueting hall, conservatory and entrance hall were all added. As a result of the work done, the house doubled in size. The entire building was renovated in a Gothic Style, and the foundations of the Flag Tower were also laid. Some of the architects that worked on the house were Thomas Hopper and A.W Pugin (the architect involved in the equally haunted Woodchester Mansion).

Sadly In the early 1900’s however, the house began its demise, when a lack of funds prevented the family from taking care of all the maintenance on the house and it was sold in 1924.

The Tower Ruins have a very strange chilling atmosphere even in broad daylight and with over 1500 years of History at this very haunted location you wouldn’t be surprised of the paranormal activity that has been reported here by visitors and staff alike.

Witnessed often is a Female presence that has been seen several times appearing to people mostly on the upper floors of the Ruin seen wearing all black garments as if she is in mourning.

Heavy thunderous footsteps are heard regularly within the darkness along with dark shadows seen lurking and moving about in doorways.

Strange whispering, chanting discarnate voices are heard close to people’s ears along with loud distinctive Raps and Knocks given in response to any question asked during Investigations.

There have been poltergeist stone throwing phenomena reported on numerous occasions along with foreboding feelings sensed in certain area.

With reports of Witchcraft and the black arts, Human Sacrifice and a terrifying folk law curse a very scary night of Ghost Hunting at the chilling Alton Tower Ruins will not be one you will forget in a hurry!

Coalhouse Fort East Tilbury Essex Ghost Hunt Saturday 20th June 2009

Coal House Fort is a Victorian Coastal Defence Fort, which is next to the River Thames in East Tilsbury, Essex.
The Fort was built in 1874 to defend the approaches to London from the threat of invasion from France and other Foreign Countries.

Coalhouase Fort Essex
Coalhouase Fort Essex

This particular Fort is said to be one of the finest examples of an armored casemated Fort in the United Kingdom.
Since 1983 the Fort has been leased to the Coal House Fort Project, which is a voluntary organisation, who has worked hard to help the Fort keep much of its original Architectural form.
Coal House Fort has over 600 years of Military History so there is no surprise that this location has Paranormal Phenomena that is very, very active.
This Location has mile upon mile of Pitch Black Tunnels where no one can hear you scream when the lights go out!

Volunteers whilst at work on the Fort have witnessed Ghostly Apparitions and Strange mists before their very eyes.
Voices and the laughter of a child, along with heavy footsteps and the sound of something being dragged along the floor are just some of the strange phenomena experienced at this unique building.
The Most Haunted Programme visited here very recently and had a lot of activity
throughout their stay overnight with extreme poltergeist activity.

We visited this location a few times in 2008 and have each time had very active nights with lots of stone throwing, fantastic Table Tipping responses such as the table jumping and moving around while we stood a foot away from it, also an apparition of a soldier dressed in full gas mask uniform was witnessed in the tunnels which as you can imagine scared the person who witnessed this incredible sight very much and they had to be taken out of the tunnels to get over the shock, all this along with sounds  such as growling and moaning and feelings of being touched in the darkness you can see this place is really not for the faint hearted and you will need your senses about you!.
